Nearing the end of June and the Pirates are just three games out of first? Who'd have thunk it? Worried about the next three games though, Boston ain't gonna be easy.

198/365: Dahntahn

Da 'burgh, where I live. Well, technically, just outside da 'burgh, in the north boroughs.

196/365: Ballpark

Approaching PNC Park aboard the Miss Pittsburgh. That's the 6th Street (Roberto Clemente) Bridge on the left. I like the sunlight reflection on the water. Another Canon shot.

195/365: Blocks

The huge stones of the PRR pier. More Canon fiddling. You can see what I mean about it not wanting to focus. The blocks made me think of Legos.

194/365: No Wake

More fooling around with the Canon. Pier of the 9th St. (Rachael Carson) Bridge.

193/365: Railroad

The huge, PRR double-decked (only one in use) bridge over the Allegheny downtown. Taken from the Miss Pittsburgh with the Canon.

191/365: Bleacher Creatures

I found my old Canon Powershot point and shoot digital that supposedly didn't work anymore. New batteries, and some fiddling seemed to bring it back to life, but it is still balky, sometimes, it doesn't want to focus, and sometimes it doesn't shoot at all. Was playing around with it though, as its a lot more portable than my Nikon D50.

Here's the left field "Loony Bin" bleachers at PNC.

188/365: Her Own Seat

I guess the Pirates are going to want me to start buying a ticket for her.

186/365: Doomed Church

I think this church is coming down soon to make room for the Rt 28 expansion.

Pirates players helped collect money for the families of Pittsburgh's slain police officers. Here's pitcher Jeff Karstens at the Home Plate gate. You can contribute to the Pittsburgh Fallen Heroes Fund at the Greater Pittsburgh Police Federal Credit Union, 1338 Chartiers Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
