Shrooms!
I discovered these growing in the yard last month. They looked interesting, so I did some research and I'm pretty darn sure they are inky-caps. I was convinced of this when the caps dissolved into inky goo two days later. These are quite possibly shaggy-mane inky caps, which are supposed to be a choice edible, but I'm nowhere near bold enough to sample them.
