81/365: Graceland
The "other" signature building at D&E, Graceland, which predates Elvis by several decades. This building, the former home of Henry G. Davis, was in even worse shape than Halliehurst; a
boarded up, hulking wreck when I was in school, now fully restored and operated by the college as a country inn and restaurant. We had dinner here Friday night. My wife had the salmon, I the scallops. Fantastic!

80/365: Halliehurst
Halliehurst is the former home of Stephen B. Elkins, and one of the signature buildings at D&E. The place was in sorry shape when I was in college during the 80's, used mostly for storage, but has been spectacularly restored.Labels: Davis and Elkins College, Halliehurst, Project 365
