Flowerpot

I took this while using up the film from the reenactment. I think it turned out quite well!
Have a great weekend, see you on Monday unless something earth-shattering happens this weekend.

Home Sweet Home

Just got the pictures from Cedar Creek. That little disposable black and white camera does a nice job. That's my tent and gear.

Campfire

Campfire and woodpile down at "Sin City"

Stack Arms

Waiting for the fun to start. We're on the actual Cedar Creek battlefield. in 1864, this field was covered with Federal campsites. The view is towards where the Confederate attack came from.

The Camp

Looking towards the north from camp.

Scouts

This young lady was taking pictures. It was a breezy day, and the back of her dress kept blowing up. Some of the troops decided to creep up for a closer look!

The Sudden End

Of Project Pantry.

The doctor says my triglyceride levels are too high, and he describes that as a "pre-diabetic condition." So I had a choice; give up my beans, pasta and rice, or face the prospect of getting diabetes sometime in the future.

It didn't take long to decide. Out went the food I love, to be replaced mainly by baked fish and veggies, along with some pork and chicken, as I strive to cut carbs while avoiding really fatty food.

The contents of the pantry went to those less fortunate. Hopefully, they wont get diabetes.

Two Kitties

Tawny poses for the camera, while Smokie intetnly studies what the dog is up to.

Bean Blanch

Thanks to the unusually warm fall, my pole beans are still producing. These babies were trimmed, sliced, blanched, and popped into the freezer for winter eating! Lots of tomatos are on the vine, ready to be sauced, and I have huge crops of sage and oregano just about ready for drying.
